Purebred Wagyu from 2GR is 93.75% Wagyu with F4 genetics.  Almost all wagyu raised outside of Japan is hybrid or crossbred with Angus and is roughly 50% wagyu.  This purebred wagyu has been bred up to 93.75% wagyu over 4 generations.

The Australian Wagyu marbling score system goes from 3 being in lowest, to 9, being the highest. For reference USDA Prime average about a 3.5 on this scale.

We source our Purebred Australian Wagyu from 2.  Wagyu beef is the hottest meat in today’s marketplace. It is striking because its high degree of marbling adds an extraordinary depth of flavor making Wagyu beef the most tender, most succulent and best tasting beef one can find.
